The dental assistant plays a crucial role in aiding the dentists, allowing them to focus on the clinical procedures without unnecessary distractions. This two-day workshop is designed to prepare dental assistants to support the clinicians working within the VieSID concept. The course offers them the opportunity to learn the practical and technical skills to organize the materials and equipment for the VieSID diagnostic protocol. In this workshop, they will learn also how to flawlessly coordinate with the dentists during the condylographic recording. They will also familiarize themselves with the GAMMA software for patients´ data archiving and presentation.
In particular, the participants will learn how to:
- Mount the casts in the articulator
- Take correct extra- and intraoral photos
- Prepare and store the occlusograms
- Prepare the materials for impression taking
- Mount the anatomic facebow
- Model the brux checkers
- Enter data in the GAMMA Dental software
- Prepare the materials and the equipment for condylographic recording
- Prepare the RP bite wax
- Mount the device and clutch, using the kinematic facebow
- Assist doctors in locating the hinge axis
- Remove and clean the device
