SUMMER SCHOOL 2012 July 25 – 29, 2012 in Vienna

The new VieSID courses 2012 are open for registration:

· Prof. Slavicek Basic Course - VieSID Curriculum 2012':

Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Rudolf Slavicek the participants of this course receive comprehensive knowledge about functions and dysfunctions of the masticatory system.
The 14 days-program is split into 3 modules. It is practice orientated to provide the students with a broad knowledge which can immediately be implemented in daily work.

· Prof. Slavicek Basic Course - VieSID Curriculum 2012' for Dental Technicians

For the successful implementation of a result-oriented concept a close cooperation between dentist and dental technician on equal level is an essential precondition. Out of this VieSID designed a special curriculum for the work area of dental technicians. Under the directory of Prof. Dr. R. Slavicek participants will receive an advanced and profound education covering various aspects of functions and dysfunctions of the craniofacial and masticatory system, including manual competence and confidence in the various possible actions related to the work in the dental laboratory.

· Prof. Sato Continuum 'Orthodontics in Craniofacial Dysfunctions' (english)

Prof.Dr. Sadao Sato provides knowledge about the orthodontic treatment approach considering intra- and interdisciplinary medical aspects. Functional diagnostics and taking into account the functional status of the masticatory organ and other body systems and functions are main parts of the successful therapy concept of Prof. Sato.

Prof. Sato will also teach the special Multiloop Edgewise Arch Wire (MEAW) technique in theory and practical exercises.
The course comprises 12 modules in about 2 ½ years.

· Prof. Slavicek Continuum 'Interdisciplinary Dentistry – Therapy and Treatment Concepts (english)

This course, held by Prof. Dr. Rudolf Slavicek and his team, comprises the various concepts in therapy and the aspects of interdisciplinary treatment methods. In this continuum the students are invited to present their own patient cases, either via a complete diagnostic documentation or they can invite the patients to join personally, in order to design and discuss a complete individual treatment plan.
